Kids Make a Stool Workshop

Workshop Description

Recommended age: 8 and above, children 4-7 are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult. All our workshops begin with a safety briefing. (Even for returning students) Workshop duration: 3.5 hours What to expect: At the end of the workshop, your child will bring home a precious, completed wooden stool. It not only serves as a seating but also functions as a step stool or a mini side table for the little one. Its versatility of use is up to your child's imagination. It can be further personalised by allowing them to paint or decorate it at home. What will I learn: Our 5-hour workshop introduces children to hand tools, light electric tools and get a feel of working with wood. The importance of woodwork in early childhood education – building confidence and providing a foundation for lifelong learning and STEAM. - Safety in the workshop - How to use different hand tools - Sanding techniques - Joining methods Additional details: - A 1 hour lunch break and short tea break is provided. - Attire: Please wear closed toe shoes to the venue. - Attire: Comfortable, No loose or flowy clothing. - No use of power tools for the safety of the children. - All personal PPE (personal protective equipment) will be provided *This activity requires a minimum of 4 persons to proceed. You may book for fewer than 4 persons but if there are fewer than 4 persons booked for the date, you may reschedule to another date. When Arriving at Location - For drivers, you may park within the building's compound.
