Workshop Description

Recommended age: Children 4 and up are welcome! Parent-child workshop, price is for both to participate! All our workshops begin with a safety briefing. (Even for returning students) Workshop duration: 1 hours Workshop price: $50 for parent-child to make one mini garden together. 13th May 2023, Saturday Location: Agora Co-Learning Space at Habourfront Center #04-01 Lobby C Session 1 : 1.00pm - 2.00pm Session 2: 2.00pm - 3.00pm What to expect: A fun, low-stress, hands-on activity for parent and child! Join us to make a mini Zen Garden. During the workshop, assemble a wooden tray with glue and wooden nails, sanding all the rough edges and complete the project by creating your own mini garden with airplants! Making something with your child is a special time to bond. Working together builds a sense of trust, patience, and a deeper understanding of each other’s strengths. What will I learn: Our 1-hour workshop introduces you and your child to hand tools, light electric tools and get a feel of working with wood. - Safety in the workspace - How to use different hand tools - Sanding techniques - Joining methods Additional details: - Attire: Please dress comfortable! Closed-toe shoes for safety (incase you drop something on the floor) - No use of power tools for the safety of the children. - All personal PPE (personal protective equipment) will be provided This mini Zen garden is a smaller project derived from our Zen garden workshop (3hrs)!
