Workshop Description
Recommended age: 8 and above, children 4-7 are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult. All our workshops begin with a safety briefing. (Even for returning students) Workshop duration: 3 hours What to expect: Students will assemble their wooden tray with glue and wooden nails, sanding all the rough edges and complete the project by creating their own mini garden with plants! (Succulents or air-plants, depending on availability.) What will I learn: Our 3-hour workshop introduces children to hand tools, light electric tools and get a feel of working with wood. We observe children working with their hands, tinkering, constructing models, and working on projects, but in fact the real transformation is inside the child – personal development is at the heart of woodwork. - Safety in the workshop - How to use different hand tools - Sanding techniques - Joining methods Additional details: - A short tea break is provided. - Attire: Please wear closed toe shoes to the venue. - Attire: Comfortable, No loose or flowy clothing. - No use of power tools for the safety of the children. - All personal PPE (personal protective equipment) will be provided *This activity requires a minimum of 4 persons to proceed. You may book for fewer than 4 persons but if there are fewer than 4 persons booked for the date, you may reschedule to another date.
