Wooden Toy Camera workshop
Design and make your own wooden camera! To design their own camera, your child will work within the parameters of “what a camera should look like” and “how they want it to look.” Woodworking is a wonderful way to develop character. The smell and feel of wood, using real tools, working with a natural material, the sounds of hammering and sawing, hands and minds working together to express their imagination and to solve problems, the use of strength and coordination: all go together to captivate young children’s interest.
Learning points:
- about the camera, how it works
- different types of wood, mahogany and pine
- develop fine motor skills
